Anthony Lee "Tony" Prottsman, 62, loving brother, uncle and friend, passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, in Mount Pleasant.
Tony was born Dec. 14, 1958, in Mount Pleasant, the son of James H. and Mary (Hoover) Prottsman. Tony owned and operated Cobblestone Clothiers in uptown Mount Pleasant. He had two daughters, Ashley and Taylor.
Tony, always dapper, enjoyed helping others find their "Certain Flair." He loved to dance and won many awards for his disco moves. He was an accomplished equestrian who attended rodeo and bull riding. Later in his life, golf was his first love. Drinking an Arnold Palmer and watching golf was his favorite pastime. Tony enjoyed a good chat, a good joke and a good laugh.
Tony is survived by his sister, Tracy (Jim) Beasley of Mount Pleasant; and his brothers, Steve (Martha) Prottsman of North Liberty and Mike (Diane) Prottsman of Mount Pleasant; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Prottsman.
Private family services will be held. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 4 to 5 p.m. that evening. A memorial has been established in his memory.
