Betty McDowell Obituary
Betty J. McDowell 79 formerly of Salem passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Mary's Manor in Vienna, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Salem East Cemetery with Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Betty was born on September 26, 1934, in Whitehall, Illinois the daughter of Travis G & Pearl Wright Moreland. She was united in marriage to Kenny McDowell in 1967. Betty had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown and later at Motorola in Mt. Pleasant. She was of the Baptist faith. Betty enjoyed flowers, going catfishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Dwayne Wagner (Peggy) of Vienna, Missouri, two grandchildren: Casey and Travis, and three great grandchildren: three sisters: Marie Woods, Phyllis Martin and Rosetta Myers all of Jacksonville, Illinois.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Colleen and one brother William.
