Carlys J. Crile 81 of the Trenton community passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at his home.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel in Forest Home Cemetery. Rev. Jim Van Winkle will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Voice of the Retarded.
Carlys was born on November 22, 1924, in Henry County the son of Benjamin & Anna Burger Crile. He attended the Starr School west of Trenton; he served his country in the Army. He was united in marriage to Darlene M. Schantz on August 5, 1945 at the home of her parents in rural Washington County. He raised cattle and had farmed in the Trenton area for over 60 years. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Henry County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his children: Janice Baumann and her husband Larry of Waterloo, Bennett Crile and his wife Judy of Mt. Pleasant, Bradley Crile and his wife Jill of Wayland and Dennis, Marlin and Curtis all of Glenwood. 7 grandchildren. His sister Ina Rich and her husband Russell of Wayland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister Lola Bain, two brothers Delmar and Kenneth.
