Carol Sprott Obituary
Carol J. Sprott, 78, of Bloomfield passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the Davis Center at Bloomfield.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Hillsboro Cemetery with Rev. Michael Scudder officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:30 on Saturday at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Carol was born on October 19, 1936, at Lockridge, the daughter of Charles "Pete" & Selma Brockschmidt Sprott. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1955, and attended Southeastern Community College in West Burlington. She was united in marriage to Jim Miller they later divorced and she married Bob Walker, they later divorced and she married Robert Slawson. Carol worked at various jobs retiring in 1989. In her spare time she enjoyed cross stitching, reading, country music, shopping and doing puzzles. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by her children: John Walker (Jackie) of Clive, Scott Miller (Sherri) of Perry and Lorie McMillen (Mike) of Harrison, Arkansas, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and her brother, John L. Sprott.
