Carroll Deane Bailey 64 of Salem, Iowa passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Henry County Health Center.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Salem East Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 until 8 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 11, 2008; there will be no family visitation. A memorial has been established to the Salem Fire Department in his memory.
Carroll Deane Bailey was born on April 8, 1944 in Henry County near Salem, Iowa the son of Merald & Meda Blakeley Bailey. Dean attended school in Salem, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, horses and playing cards. He worked at Ceco Building Systems of Mt. Pleasant for 19 years.
He is survived by his sons: Robert Bailey and Richard Bailey both of Bemidji, Minnesota, his brother: Gerald Bailey and his sister: Meralene Lee both of Salem, Iowa. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents
