Charles VanZile Obituary

Charles P. VanZile, 75 of Rome passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013,
at the Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rome Baptist Church with Pastor Guy Sammons officiating. Following the service full military honors will be conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard. According to his wishes his body has been cremated.

Charlie was born on January 27, 1938 in Warsaw, Illinois the son of Erwin & Nelle Bliss Burkhart VanZile. He graduated from Warsaw High School, and was inducted into the Army on September 6, 1961 and served until he was honorably discharged on August 10, 1963. He was united in marriage to Eloise Calhoun on October 7, 1967 in Kahoka, Missouri. Charlie was a trucker driver for R.H. Hummer for over 22 years.

He is survived by his wife Eloise of Rome and his children: Keith Kelley of Rome, Jason VanZile of Mt. Pleasant, Terry VanZile of Blountstown, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.
