Connie S. (Krieger) Bush

Connie S. Bush, 77, of rural Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

 Connie was born on May 24, 1947, the daughter of Ira Samuel and Dorothy Elizabeth (Heston) Krieger.  She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in the class of 1965.  Connie was united in marriage to Jerry L. Bush on July 23, 1976, in Vancouver, Washington.  Connie worked at Rockwell International in Fairfield, Christamore House in Mt. Pleasant and later she was the owner of Crystal’s Café in Rome for eight years.  She was an excellent cook.  She served on the Grant Cemetery Board for many years and was a member of the Rome Baptist Church. 

 Those thankful in sharing in her life include her husband, Jerry, and her children, Todd (Jeanine) Christner, Melody (Jim Barnett) Sanderson, David (Teri) Bush, Scott (Cobi) Bush and Charlotte Miller, her eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and her brother, Sam Krieger.

 Connie was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Vance Bush, one granddaughter, Crystal Sanderson and her sister, Ruby K. Cottrell.

 Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the Grant Cemetery rural Rome.  Memorials may be directed to the Grant Cemetery Association in her memory.

According to her wishes cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home.
