Connie J. Richardson, 72, of Lockridge passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics surrounded by her loving family.
Connie was born on February 6, 1953 in Van Buren County, the daughter of Merle Guy and Wanda Joan (Poe) Silvers. She graduated from Keosauqua High School. Connie worked at Motorola in Mt. Pleasant for a few years. In 1985 Connie purchased the gas station in Lockridge, naming it B&C Service, and operated it until 1994. Throughout her life she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and she ran a daycare. In 2001, at her home in Lockridge, she was united in marriage to Richard Richardson.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of Lockridge, her children, Tina (John) Sanderson of Fairfield and Tony Long of Iowa City, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her sister, Mary Pohren of Lockridge.
According to her wishes no services are planned. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Memorials in Connie’s honor to the Lockridge Fire and Rescue may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 32, Lockridge, Iowa 52635.
