Dale Barnett Obituary
Dale Barnett 79 of Salem and Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established and may be lefted at the funeral home.
Dale was born on March 8, 1927, at Bonaparte, Iowa the son of James & Elsie Poole Barnett. He had worked at the I.A.A. P. in West Burlington, drove a Head Start bus for a few years and had an Iowa Parcel route along with doing food service at the county home.
He is survived by his children: Mike Barnett of Palmyra, TN, Tom Barnett of Clarksville, TN and a daughter Robin Snyder of Nevada, Iowa. One stepson Mike Stone of Davenport, Iowa and a step daughter Lisa Elmore of Waynesville, Mo. and six grandchildren, Susan, Tammy, Mandy, Chad, Amy and Emily.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Michael Jr. and one brother Carl.
