Dale R. Stutzman 81, of Lockridge went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at his home in Lockridge.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Victory Fellowship Church in Brighton with Pastor Larry Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 18th at the Victory Fellowship Church in Brighton. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Lockridge Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.
Dale was born on July 21, 1932, rural Wayland the son of Harry & Clara Tschantz Stutzman. He was united in marriage to Floy Letitia Canby on January 15, 1956. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Dale had worked at J.I. Case of Burlington, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown and drove a truck. He farmed in the Lockridge community for 50 yrs. He finished two years of Junior College then went on to Seminary College receiving his degree as an ordained Reverend. He was a founding member of the Victory Fellowship Church in Brighton. He was a missionary to Mexico for a year along with his family and also in El Salvador. He was a member of the Victory Fellowship Church and the American Legion.
Dale is survived by his wife Letitia of Lockridge, and his children: Debra Burtlow and her husband John of Forest Grove Oregon, Regina Stutzman and Doug Stutzman; four grandchildren; Jame Elaine Murphy, Brian Dale Stutzman Murphy, Winona and Sierra Burtlow; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brian Dale, three brothers and five sisters.
