David Trueblood Obituary
David Dorson Trueblood, 71, of Killen, Alabama, formerly of Salem passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at his home in Alabama.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the Greenhill Funeral Home in Florence, Alabama with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating, following the service full military honors will be conducted. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery.
David was born on February 11, 1940, the son of Dorson H. & Wanda P. Zickefoose Trueblood. He attended Greenhill Baptist Church, was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, an Electronic Engineer with the Air Force/Civil Service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #146, an active member of the Honor Guard, the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and Eagles all in Alabama.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia of Killen, Alabama, his son Michael Trueblood, daughters: Lavonne Clifford and Sonya Vento, step-son: Dan Lilly and step-daughter: Regina Bailey. 5 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren, two brothers: Roger Trueblood and Jon Trueblood.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Ruth.
