David Woodsmall Obituary
David Ray Woodsmall 51 of Salem passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem Friends Church in Salem with Rev. Nathan Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established in his memory.
David was born on July 20, 1957 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Robert E. & Anna Marie Bollinger Woodsmall. He was united in marriage to Sharon Barber on March 7, 1991, in Mt. Pleasant. He was a trucker driver for several local companies and he enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, and his children: Jacob Woodsmall and Lucas Woodsmall both of Burlington, Nichols Barber and Sawyer Woodsmall both of Salem. 3 grandchildren. 3 brothers: Roger Woodsmall of Morning Sun, William Woodsmall of Tiffin, Ohio and Roy Woodsmall of Columbus Junction. 1 sister: Roberta (Bobi) Stevens of Salem. And his mother Anna Marie of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Ernie Woodsmall.
