Dennis Kemp Obituary
Dennis W. Kemp age 72 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
According to his wishes his body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Dennis was born on January 17, 1941, in Fairfield the son of Warren & Louise Culbertson Kemp. He attended Parsons College in Fairfield, University of Iowa in Iowa City then on to the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. He lived his adult life in Dallas Texas and moved to Mt. Pleasant in 2002, where he worked at the Mt. Pleasant Wal-Mart as a greeter.
Dennis played trumpet for the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, he enjoyed wood working and skydiving.
He is survived by his children: Sabra Lyons of California, Rob Kemp of Texas and Angela Whitten of Texas; seven grandchildren; his sister: Sherry Dailey of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
