Doris I. Glover 91, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013, at the
Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 10:00 am at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Friday at the Murphy Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Doris was born on February 12, 1922, in rural Henry County the daughter of Glen & Anna Pearl Moxley Haines. She graduated from Winfield High School in the class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Keith E. Glover on August 2, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri; he preceded her in death on January 1, 1988. Doris was a homemaker and had worked at Harrison Drugstore in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Salem American Legion Auxiliary, Questers and Congregational Church of Mt. Pleasant.
Doris is survived by her children; Dennis (Liz) Glover of Lockridge, Gary (Vickie) Glover of Keosauqua, and Gene (Jenny) Glover of Salem. 8 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 24 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; her brother Don Haines of Mt. Pleasant and her sister Erma McCormick of Fairfield; and her special friend Dale Green of Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grand-daughter Andrea and 4 brothers; Raymond, Bill, Kenny and Dean.
