E. Garmoe Obituary
E. Pauline Garmoe 76 of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Salem passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Park Place in Mt. Pleasant.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem East Cemetery at Salem, Iowa with the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. There will be no family visitation. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Pauline was born on January 23, 1931, in Osceola, Iowa the daughter of Fred & Edna McCarl Dunn. She was united in marriage to Gifford E. Garmoe on March 8, 1949, in Iowa City, Iowa. She worked at Whaley's Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant for a number of years and was a member of the Salem Congregational Church. Pauline enjoyed scrap booking and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Andrew Spaulding of Augusta Kentucky, and Otis Spaulding of Bradenton, Florida. 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. One brother Miles Green of Panhandle, Texas and her sister Francine Calhoun of Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great-great grandson one sister Virginia and one brother Jerry.
