Earl "Bud" Manning 79 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010
at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church rural Wayland with Pastor Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 21st at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory to the Cottonwood Church.
Earl was born on May 27, 1930 in Washington County, Iowa the son of Henry E. & Mazie W. Horning Manning. He was united in marriage to Beaulah Hill on June 1, 1951. He served his country in the Army. He owned and operated Manning Roofing until his retirement, he enjoyed to go hunting.
He is survived by his wife Beaulah and his children: Mary Jo Richard of Wayland, Ernie Manning of Mt. Pleasant, Tim Manning of Texas, Jack Manning of Mt. Pleasant, Steve Manning of Georgia, Connie Taylor of New London, Terry Manning of Burlington, and Kathy Manning of Georgia, Denny Manning of Mt. Pleasant and Bradley Manning of Georgia. 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Five sisters: Mary Ann Dupree and Barbara Schenk both of Mt. Pleasant, Lucille Hudson of Hillsboro, Kay Carey of Washington and Charlene Ragan of Calif. and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Manning of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Mark, one brother James and two sisters: Darlene and Frances Magdefrau.
