Ervin Joseph Champeau 94, of Zimmerman Minnesota and formerly of Salem passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the St. Cloud Veterans Center in St. Cloud Minnesota.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Salem South Cemetery. Inurnment of is ashes will be in the Salem South Cemetery.
Ervin was born on November 3, 1915, in Star Prairie, Wisconsin the son of Frank & Louise Germain Champeau. He was a carpenter and had served his country during WWII as a radio operator in combat flights. He was united in marriage to Marion Kiekhofer on July 13, 1946, after her death he was united in marriage to Adelaide Formantes.
Ervin is survived by his children: Patricia Bell of Mt. Vernon, Linda Bishop of Arizona, Judy Watson of Zimmerman, Minn. Nancy Champeau-Wendler of Hartland, Minn. Joyce Champeau of Anamosa and Kathy Yarger of Carver, Minn. One stepdaughter: Susan Salenda. Several grandchildren, step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and his son Neil.
