Francine E. Calhoun 74 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Park Place in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Francine was born on March 21, 1933, in Osceola, Iowa the daughter of Fred & Edna McCarl Dunn. She married Dale Barnett and then she later married John E. Calhoun on October 8, 1983 in Los Vegas NV. She worked for 30 years as a bartender in New London and Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, TV and her family.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter Robin Snider of Nevada, IA, two sons: Mike Barnett of Palmyra, TN, Tom Barnett of Clarksville, TN. Two step-daughters: Debbie Casson of Cottonwood, AZ and Monica Kemp of Prescott Valley, AZ. 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one brother Miles Green of Panhandle, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandson, one brother and two sisters.
