Geraldine Jewett Obituary
Geraldine E. (Jerry) Jewett 87 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Sue Ann Cubbage officiating. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Diabetes Foundation.
Jerry was born on October 21, 1920 in Fairfield, Iowa the daughter of Harold & Gladys Conover Slusher. She graduated form Fairfield High School, on January 1, 1939 she was united in marriage to Franklin Jewett in Memphis, Missouri. She had worked at the Mt. Pleasant News for 38 years in advertising, and was a member of Wesley Chapel. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
She is survived by her husband Franklin and her two sons, Gary and Fred and his wife Pam all of Mt. Pleasant. 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Jerry was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Janet.
