Glenda Heise Obituary
Glenda J.(Ms. Toadie) Heise 70, of Salem passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Park Place Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call after noon on Saturday at the Murphy Funeral Home where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the education of her grand-daughter Sydney.
Glenda was born on February 4, 1941, the daughter of Glen L. & Eleanor R. Barnes Widmer. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1959, and was united in marriage to James D. Heise on August 5, 1968 at the Green Mound Church of God west of Trenton, he preceded her in death on May 24, 1998. She helped her husband on the family farm, had worked at Emerson's, the Telephone Office and was a prep cook for Goo-Cheez restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed play cards, pool, crocheting and bowling and was known for her excellent cooking.
She is survived by her son: Doug Heise of Mt. Pleasant and her grand-daughter Sydney.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister.
