Ivan Alter Obituary
Ivan L. Alter, 66 of Trenton passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Barnns Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Tom Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial has been established to the Faith Christian Outreach Center.
Ivan was born on March 25, 1941 in Moline Illinois the son of Leslie & Ruth Anderson Alter. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in the class of 1959. He was united in marriage on June 10, 1962 to Mary English in Trenton. Ivan had worked for Monson Roofing, and had retired from Blue Bird after 40 yrs. He enjoyed hunting and farming.
Ivan is survived by his wife Mary and his son Linc and his wife Angie and his two grandchildren, Brody and Tye-Alicyn all of Trenton, his mother Ruth Alter of Mt. Pleasant, his brother Don Alter of North Liberty and his sister Deanne Alter of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister Joyce.
