James Carl (Moses) Waite 54 of Mt. Pleasant and former resident of Rome, Iowa and Long Beach, California passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in Salinas, California.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor John Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery at Burlington. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his memory.
James was born on February 8, 1954, in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Herbert & Margaret Inman Waite. He married Diane Waite then he later married Dolly Farnett on September 28, 1987 in Burlington, Iowa. He was a truck driver for Liberty Transport of Burlington for 10 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and grill and was a Rams football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Dolly, his children: Jacob Carl Waite of Mission Valley CA., Durc Anthony Waite and Nancy Jean Waite both of Mt. Pleasant, Lillian Waite Sanchez and her husband Raymond of Bull Head AZ., and Veronica Waite Ford and her husband Marcus of Swedesburg, Iowa. His grandchildren: Raymond, Damien and Dominic Sanchez and Rebecca Dominquez. One brother: Bill Waite and his wife Kathleen of Tulare, CA. One sister Tharon Clemens of Kihei Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son infancy David and one brother Edward.
