Janet J. Skipton 71 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Arbor Court Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Brian McNamara officiating Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Janet was born on December 26, 1939, at Garwood Missouri the daughter of Charles Woodrow & Helen Mae Hall Dunnahoo. She was united in marriage to John H. Skipton on August 4, 1957. She worked for Heatilator in Mt. Pleasant for several years, she enjoyed doing puzzles, watching birds and NASCAR racing.
She is survived by her children: Jeff Skipton of Missouri, Peggy Rich of North Carolina, Randy Skipton of Mt. Pleasant, Richard Skipton of Illinois, Cheryl Stone of Idaho and Nancy Graber of Westside, Iowa, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters: Ronald Dunnahoo (Carla) of West Liberty, Bud Dunnahoo (Margaret) of Columbus Junction, Richard Dunnahoo of Mt. Pleasant, Shirley Callan (Roger) of Cozad, Nebraska, Larry Dunnahoo (Donna) of Muscatine, Robert Dunnahoo of Des. Moines and Donnie Dunnahoo (Dianne) of Rocky Mountain N.C.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter Melody Taylor.
