Joan J. Williams 64 of rural Trenton passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Dylan Does officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until service time on Saturday at the funeral Home. According to her wishes following the services her body will be cremated and burial will be held at a later date in the Gilson Cemetery in Gilson, Illinois. A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
Joan was born on May 2, 1943 at Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of William A. & Betty Eloise Cramer Jefferson. She attended Gilson Grade School and graduated from Knoxville High School at Knoxville Illinois. She was united in marriage to Richard Williams on June 22, 1990 at Brighton, Iowa. She worked at Fansteel Manufacturing Company in Washington for 17 years. She enjoyed her pets.
She is survived by her husband Richard and her children: Rick Williams and his wife Jackie of Kalona, Donnie Williams and his wife Brenda of Brighton and Kenny Williams and his wife Melissa of Washington. 10 grandchildren. three brothers: Jerry Jefferson and his wife Laura of Oregon, Jeff Jefferson and his wife Sue of Gilson, IL and John Jefferson of New London, IA. Two sisters: Jennifer Smith and her husband Chuck of Gilson, IL and Jolene Jefferson and her friend Charles Rickey of Galesburg, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jack Jefferson.
