Judith A. Barrett-Guarino, 70, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Judith was born on May 25, 1953, in New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of Thomas M. and Norma J. (Carter) Vallombroso, Sr. Judith lived a full and busy life. She was a very caring and loving person who enjoyed helping others, that is why she became a social worker and later a nurse. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and her animals. Judith raised Siamese cats.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Guarino, of Burlington and her sisters and brother, Vivian Selmquist, Thomas Vallombroso, Jr., and Carmel Blankenship-Livi, along with several nieces and nephews.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Arnold Vallombroso.
No services are planned at this time and burial will be held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery rural Mt. Pleasant. According to her wishes cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
