Larry Harwood Obituary
Larry A. Harwood, 73, of Fairfield and formerly of the Lockridge community passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.
According to his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held at this time.
Larry was born on July 27, 1942, in Dixon, Illinois the son of Dale and Winetta Vorhies Harwood. He was united in marriage to Linda Davis in 1964. Larry worked for McWhirters Chevrolet and Buick Inc. in Mt. Pleasant as an auto body technician before opening his own auto body shop in Lockridge. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting.
Larry is survived by his wife Linda of Fairfield, his children Jesse Harwood of Batavia and Angela (Joe) McLain of Fairfield, 4 grandchildren; Corbin & Mackenzi Harwood, Brooke & Hunter McLain. Three brothers; David Harwood of Fairfield, Dennis Harwood of West Point and Donnie Harwood of Glasgow, two sisters; Sharon Lynn Vaughan of Vandalia, Ohio and Shirley Johnson of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Cheryl.
