Lawrence "Larry" H. Willison 83 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
According to his wishes cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
Larry was born on November 10, 1932, in Galesburg, the son of Wesley Morgan & Lillian Marjorie Brisker Willison. Following his graduation from Browns Business College in Galesburg. He worked for Western Union in Galesburg delivering telegrams by bicycle. Larry served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He moved to Mt. Pleasant in the 1950's where he started to work as a floral designer with Buds Flower Shop, retiring on July 1, 1995.
Larry is survived by his sister; Eloise (Jim) MacCulloch of Apopka, Florida along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and sisters; Wesley Willison, Mildred Wilson, Doris Hamline, Marjorie Cummings and his longtime friend Bud Conrad.
