Leota Ridinger Obituary

Leota M. Ridinger 96 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, December 21, 2007 at the
Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Pat Youngquist officiating. Burial will be in the Green Mound Cemetery west of Trenton. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m. The family will also receive friends from 1 until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Green Mound Cemetery in her name.

Leota was born on February 27, 1911 in Henry County the daughter of Leander & Sarah (Sadie) Lynn Lyon. She was united in marriage to Glen R. Ridinger on March 13, 1935 at the home of Rev. Bill Weston in Mt. Pleasant. Before her marriage she worked at the Button Factory in Washington and then helped her husband on the family farm. They retired from the farm and moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1977. She loved to cook, doing crafts, word puzzles, sewing and playing cards. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband Glen of Mt. Pleasant, one son Dwight and his wife Marilyn of Mt. Pleasant. Two grandchildren: Curtis ( Renee) Ridinger and Coleen (Darrell) Mullin, all of Mt. Pleasant. 4 great grandsons: Derek Mullin, Duston Ridinger, Jason Mullin and Brandon Ridinger and one great-great grand-daughter Miranda Ridinger.

Leota was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son Donald and two brothers and four sisters.
