Lucile Wolfe Obituary
Lucile R. Wolfe 85 of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of the Germanville community passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church at Germanville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8 at the Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Hope Lutheran Church.
Lucile was born on February 27, 1922, in Jefferson County the daughter of Irven & Ethel Messenger Stortz. She was united in marriage to John H. Wolfe on June 24, 1945 at the Stortz home in rural Germanville. She had taught in country schools and helped her husband on the family farm until their retirement in 1999 when they moved to Mt. Pleasant. Lucile enjoyed gardening, reading and her family. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Bonnie Kaufman and her husband Terry of Fairfield and Joan and Nancy Wolfe both of Mt. Pleasant. Two grandchildren: Jonathan and Lyndsey Kaufman.
Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2004, two brothers and one sister.
