Lucille A. Mayberry 86 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Atbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Joseph Phung celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday at the church where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Midwest Old Threshers Association in her memory.
Lucille was born on October 2, 1925, at St. Paul, Iowa the daughter of Allo C. & Anna E. Dingman Fraise. She was united in marriage to John R. Mayberry on June 10, 1950, in Houghton; he preceded her in death on April 4, 1985. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Alter and Rosary Society. Lucille worked at Heatilator in Mt. Pleasant until she retired in 1994; she enjoyed bus trips, Midwest Old Threshers, her rose gardens, family and friends.
Lucille is survived by her children: John Mayberry (Carol) of Bloomfield, Alan Mayberry (Ronna) of Mt. Pleasant, Brenda Kruse (Gary) of Richland and Linda Lippert (Lade) of Danville. 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Two brothers: Vic Fraise of Mt. Pleasant and Harold Fraise of Danville. One sister: Marilyn Mercer of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters: Gertrude Krogmeier and Henrietta Westfall.
