Luella A. Miller 78, of Wayland passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013, at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Robert Spilger officiating. Interment will be at the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th, at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Home in Wayland in her memory.
Luella Ann Alliman Miller was born September 27, 1935, north of Noble on the Alliman family farm, to Lester J. and Blanch Kennel Alliman. Luella grew up in Wayland. She worked at Sheller Globe in Iowa City until retirement. Luella followed NASCAR racing, enjoyed reading, watching western movies and listening to Elvis Presley.
She treasured her family - Terry (Bonnie) Kaufman of Mt. Pleasant, Sherry Kaufman of Davenport, Ken (Diana) Kaufman of Wayland, Dennis Kaufman of Wayland and Lynne Reighard of Topeka; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as her canine companion Yorkie Ginger.
Luella is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy D. Miller, one son Mike Kaufman, a grandson Anthony Reighard and her brother John Alliman.
