Marty Brimmer Obituary
Marty L. Brimmer, 55, of Rome passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at his home in Rome.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 1p.m. at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, Iowa with Rev. Dave Albert off icating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church on Monday. Burial will be at a later date in the Otterville Cemetery, Otterville, Iowa. A memorial has been established in his memory.
Marty was born on December 26, 1956, in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of Gilbert & Jean Marie Davis Brimmer. He was united in marriage to Lisa Boettger in October of 1981. He serviced his country in the Army and was honorable discharged in January of 1977. Marty Trained and raised horse's and was a blacksmith, in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Lisa; and his daughters; E.J (Brian) Murphy Molly Brimmer and Natalie Brimmer all of Rome, two granddaughters Lisa and Lexie. His brothers and sisters: Dannie Brimmer of the Philippines, Wilma Griffin of Des. Moines, Allen Brimmer of Independence, Don Brimmer of Cedar Rapids, Willard Brimmer of Eldon, Ila Doud of Des. Moines and Dick Brimmer of Waterloo.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents.
