Mary Anderson Obituary
Mary J. Anderson, 86, of rural Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Wes Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Grant Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Mary was born on March 7, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of William S. and Florence May White Millspaugh. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in the class of 1944. Mary had worked at the Iowa Ammunition Plant in Middletown, and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Moose. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid outdoors person she loved to fish, gardening and loved her animals. Her most enjoyable time was spending that with family.
Mary is survived by her children; Michael Millspaugh, Jeannie Gee, Johnnie Hillyer and Kenny Lavern Hillyer, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son James Hillyer and two sisters; Pat Willis and Ruth Ann Kitchen.
