Melody Taylor Obituary
Melody A. Taylor 47 of Lockridge passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the
Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday June 21, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Nathan Clark officiating. A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home in her memory.
Melody was born on June 27, 1962 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of John H. & Janet J. Donahue Skipton. She was united in marriage to Victor LeRoy Taylor on September 26, 1988, in Mt. Pleasant. She had worked at Mapleleaf Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant as a certified nurse's aid, and enjoyed sewing, crafts, movies, horses and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons: Christopher Nelson Taylor of Lockridge, Darrell Nelson of Middletown and a daughter: Amanda Skipton of Illinois, her mother of Mt. Pleasant, and three brothers: Jeff Skipton of Missouri, Randy Skipton of Mt. Pleasant and Richard Skipton of Illinois. Three sisters: Peggy Rich of North Carolina, Cheryl Stone of Idaho and Nancy Graber of Westside, Iowa.
Melody was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
