Merrill "Tink" M. Millspaugh, 93 of Burlington and former resident of the Rome community passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Grant Cemetery west of Rome with Pastor Gary Van Nyhuis officiating. There will be no visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Bickford Cottage of Burlington in his memory.
Merrill was born on June 12, 1916, at Rome, Iowa the son of Charles & Gladas Johnson Millspaugh. He was united in marriage to Verlee L. Dickey on July 4, 1939 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Burlington. He farmed in the Rome area for 40 years before retiring and moving to Burlington. He enjoyed going camping, fishing, bus trips and was a handyman.
Merrill is survived by his brother Charles of Rome.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother Don.
