Mike Hughes Obituary
Michael R. Hughes 36, of Lockridge passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 10:00 am. at the Lockridge Cemetery in Lockridge with Rev. Earl Swigart & Jeff Murphy officiating. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Friday at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Mike was born on June 28, 1977, in Kansas City the son of Donald (Butch) & Jocinda E. Ridinger Standley. He was united in marriage to Misty Sue Corbin on September 25, 1999. Mike had worked construction and worked for Remington Seeds of Mt. Pleasant until his health prevented him from working.
He is survived by his wife Misty and his children Jackson and Alixandria all of Lockridge, his mother Jocinda Hughes of Mt. Pleasant & his father Don Standley of Alexandria, MO. his brother Terance Standley of Mt. Pleasant, his sister Joni Mendoza of Davenport; two nephews; Trae'sean and Tyree Jones, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul & Vickie Corbin of Lockridge and his grandmother-in-law Lola Douglas of Lockridge; and his brother-in-law Jeremy Corbin and Mikes beloved dog Goober.
Mike was preceded in death by his two grandfathers; John Ridinger and Jack Douglas.
