Mildred Lake Obituary
Mildred B. Lake 94 of Fairfield passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009 at her home.
According to her wishes her body will be cremated and no services are planned. Private burial will be held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
Mildred was born on May 16, 1915 in Van Buren County, Iowa the daughter of Jesse Michael & Della Mae Godown Thomas. She was united in marriage to Neville Elmo Lake on January 29, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa. She was a homemaker and loved working on the family farm along side of her husband, working in the garden, cooking and spending time with her family.
Mildred is survived by her children: Dorothy Lake of Fairfield and Dean Lake of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 8 brothers and sisters.
