Pat Willis Obituary
Patricia "Pat" L. Willis 77 of rural Mt. Pleasant and of the Lockridge community passed on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Monte Knudson and Pastor Mike Furlong officiating. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery at Rome, Iowa. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
Pat was born on April 19, 1930, on the family farm rural Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of William S. & Florence M. White Millspaugh. She was united in marriage to Dale Willis on December 27, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant. She was a nurse for a number of years at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant retiring in 1995. She belonged to the Mt. Pleasant Moose and was a manager of the club for a number of years; she had achieved all three levels of the club. She loved to be outside and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband Dale and her children: Cheryl L. Brady of Fairbanks, Alaska, Terrie L. Howell of Mt. Pleasant, Roberta D. Furlong of Calif. and William T. Willis of Mt. Pleasant. 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. One sister: Mary J. Anderson of Mt. Pleasant.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Ruth Ann Kitchen.
