Peter D. Jones

Peter Donavan Jones, 76, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society of Ottumwa.

 Peter was born on September 7, 1948, in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Robert Donavan and Laurel Sylvia (Hodson) Jones. He graduated from high school in Junction City, Oregon.  Peter serviced his country in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam.  He worked for Walmart of Mt. Pleasant and retired after 20 years. 

 He is survived by his sisters, Susanne Isom of Harrisburg, Oregon and Peggy Holloway, of Tacoma, Washington and a daughter and a grandson. 

 Peter was preceded in death by his parents. 

 No services will be held and cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
