Raymond P. Leu 67 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010
at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
According to his wishes his body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held on April 1. 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Oakland Mills Cemetery with Rev. Herb Shafer officiating. A memorial has been established in his memory.
Raymond was born on December 21, 1942, in Fairfield the son of Edison & Hazel Johnston Leu. He was united in marriage to Beverly Luke and has been married for 14 yrs. He retired from Heatilator of Mt. Pleasant after 25 years and had worked at the Ordinance Plant in Middletown. Raymond enjoyed fishing, raising wild game and gardening.
He is survived by his wife and his son: Randal Leu of New London and his daughter Cindy (Brian) Veldhuizen of Fairfield. Two step children: Patricia Wales of Burlington and Rickey Peppers of Okalahoma. 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His brothers and sisters: Mary Jo Gerleman (Norbert) of Mt. Pleasant, Virginia Cooper of Burlington, Larry (Yvonne) Leu of Braxton, MS, Ronald (Nancy) Leu of Overland Park, KS, Connie (Don) Danner of Colbert WA, and Terry Leu of Gillette WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Norma Stodgell.
