Robert Brown Obituary
Robert G. Brown 64 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Regan Stoops, Pastor John Bailey and Pastor David Plooster officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice.
Robert was born on March 27, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant the son of Ivan & Betty Menkens Brown. He graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 1961. He had farmed in the West Chester area and later worked for Heatiltor in Mt. Pleasant for 29 years. He was a member of the Family of Faith Church in Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his mother Betty of Mt. Pleasant, his brother Gilbert Brown and his wife Margaret of Adair, Iowa. two nieces Susan Schafer and Sheryl Richter both of Adair, Iowa and eight great grand nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his father.
