Ruth Morse Obituary
Ruth E. Morse, 92 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at
Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. According to her wishes cremation has been accorded, and a memorial has been established in her memory.
Ruth was born on May 5, 1923, in Bloomfield the daughter of Albert & Mary Francis Soran Morse; she was raised at West Grove. Ruth was united in marriage to Lawrence Emmett Hanley in 1943. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Betty Shamblin of Mt. Pleasant, Mariette Irvin of Ohio and Mary Shamblin of Oquawka, Illinois, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, one sister Grace Davis of West Burlington.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Emmett Lawrence Hanley, and her brothers and sisters.
