Wanda Mae Wesely 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Park Place Long Term Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Open Bible Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor David Plooster officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Cancer Fund or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Wanda was born on May 3, 1926 the daughter of JF & Marie McElwee Barton. She was united in marriage to Joe Wesely on September 29, 1945 at the Round Prairie Baptist Church. She and her husband moved to Memphis Missouri in 1957, and farmed there until moving to Mt. Pleasant in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking goodies. She was known for her potato salad, and doing things for other people.
She is survived by her children: Bob Wesely and his wife Denise of Louisville, Kentucky, Bill Wesely and his wife Karen, Brad Wesely and his wife Monica all of Mt. Pleasant, Brian Wesely of Denver, Colorado and Becky Wesely of Mt. Pleasant. Her grandchildren: Jon Wesely and his wife Karen, Jennifer Wesely, Tom Wesely, Nicholas Wesely, Nathan Wesely, Kevin Wesely and Rachel Wesely. One brother Wes Barton and his wife Gerry and one sister: Elloise Moyle and her husband Richard all of Mt. Pleasant.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
